Old Billingsgate

Old Billingsgate Walk London

The venue

Originating as a general market port, Billingsgate transformed into the famous fish market in the late 1600s. The current building, a testament to the architectural prowess of Sir Horace Jones, still stands today, thanks to sturdy foundations reaching as deep as 50 ft below the Thames. With its beautiful roof of louvred glass and lattice-girders designed to flood the market with natural daylight, Old Billingsgate remains a versatile space, perfectly suited for every occasion.
